darkhalf 0 Posted August 25, 2018 Hi everyone I've been looking for some advice on what camera to purchase for monitoring my car at night, It's usually parked right outside my flat about 20ft away. I live on the first floor so I overlook our car park. I have done a bit of research and come to the conclusion that a low light camera is best suited for my situation, I've joined this forum with the hopes of someone advising on what are decent ones to get. I'm looking for a camera that can operate at night with no visible IR LED's, it would be nice to have a PTZ feature and be waterproof. I would probably hook it up to an NVR if possible or I would buy a compatible DVR alongside it. I have seen a few HIkvision camera's on eBay with their Darkfighter technology, I'm not after anything with 4K resolution so 720p/1080p will be just fine. 51cent 8 Posted August 25, 2018 Dahua 2mp starlight cameras are the best bang for the buck right now. But, they have 850nm IR light, which has slight red glow. 950 nm lighting doesn't glow but there are not any 950nm starlight/lowlight cameras that I know of.
