Rickitycricket1 0 Posted August 31, 2018 Hey, I'm new to the forum and I've been thinking about joining for awhile because I always use this site for reference. Anyways, the company I work for recently inherited an old Digital watchdog 4 port VMAX recorder. The company who owns it switched to us for service. They brought in the DVR in question and it keeps restarting. I can't even get into the menu because when it boots up I only get like 30 seconds, and it's not fully loaded yet before it restarts. I tried unhooking things 1 at a time like the HD, the fan, etc.. until I was down to only a monitor and the power supply. It's a 12V 3 amp power supply, and that's what the DVR says to use. I've cleaned the dust out of it, and it looks like a brand new board now. I'm not sure what else to try. Is there anything on these boards that usually give out. Thanks in advance for the help.
