tank1949 0 Posted September 19, 2018 The HD appears to be failing. I reformat it and the system seems to operate for a couple of days, only. It alarms in the middle of the night waking me and my wife. Droggy, I try to understand what is specifically failing as my wife unleashes a barrage of verbal abuse in the middle of the night. Is there any way to perform a low level format on the HD inside the Defender? I manage to get it working but it fails again. I have the defender set to continuously record and usually a "1%" displays at the top right of the screen. This time, "55%." I suspect disk is wearing out. Help!
