Thunderstorm HDCVI or IP

I have house in the mountains and would like to setup cameras.

We have bad weather and a lot of lightening and would like to know which system should i setup.

HDCVI or IP ?

I know that I should:

- avoid install on metal,

- Every camera should be grounded

- use surge protector for recorder

- use UPS

 

I am wondering is there any different If i use HDCVI over coax or if I use IP system over Cat5e cables.

Are there any less options in one of this systems for Lightening?
