paul777 0 Posted October 18, 2018 hello please can you help just bought 2 CCTV cameras swann these are WiFi just power lead needed but the camera is also attached to the Ethernet connection box tested cameras all working fine now for a week but its time to attach them to the out side wall but this Ethernet is a little bit to big i think i`ll need like a 20mm drill bit to drill the hole up a ladder ammm don't know ! so my question is i don't really need it so can i cut it off so i only have to drill maybe a 10mm hole if not less to pass the power cord though i do understand by cutting this cable my warranty is gone thank you Paul Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

You can get cable management boxes for Swann cameras. The problem you have if you cut the data cable is if you loose camera settings like the IP address you will not be able to reset.
