Lorex 4MP to Q-See system?

I have and 4MP analog BNC type Q-See system.

Would I be able to add a Lorex 4MP and also BNC type to my Q-SEE?

Are all BNC types interchangeable or is there other features to match?

problems with BNC-connectors should not be. If camera and DVR have same format (AHD, TVI, CVI) everything should work.
