AusGod 0 Posted February 22, 2019 Hello, i just received my system in the post a few days ago and only just got around to setting up one of the cameras and the NVR, but the quality does not look that great, it says the NVR has 1080P capabilities and it also came with 4x 1080P security cameras. Here are a few screen shots of my settings, if someone could let me know if i have done something wrong or need to change something, please let me know. https://i.imgur.com/fvqTg0L.jpg https://i.imgur.com/MZby7FB.png https://i.imgur.com/xkaYfcg.png https://i.imgur.com/Uxxo9pQ.png https://i.imgur.com/LGzpseH.png https://i.imgur.com/T79vj9w.png On the main stream tab, i changed the encode format from '720p' to '1080p' but it keep changing back to 720p after saving and refreshing the page. https://i.imgur.com/7jo4L38.png
Sir Lenscelot 3 Posted February 22, 2019 Can you log into the camera's directly and set the resolution. It may be because the camera's are not taking the setting your inputting on the recorder but rather your recorder is taking its lead from the camera.

The camera was showing up in my wifi list until i connected it to the NVR, ill disconnect it and see if i can get into it again and send a couple of screen shots. Sir Lenscelot 3 Posted February 22, 2019 Are these camera's connected wirelessly?
AusGod 0 Posted February 22, 2019 Yes, they are wirelessly connected to the NVR. These are the settings for the IP camera when i sign into it without the NVR.
Sir Lenscelot 3 Posted February 22, 2019 Doesn't look like there is an option there to select 1080 within the camera head, hence why the recorder keeps jumping back to 720. Can you confirm the camera's are 1080p compatible, whats the model of the camera?, Just a stab in the dark here as i'm not familiar with the particular brand but it could be possible that there is a limitation in the design to restrict the resolution when using wireless. Is it possible to turn this off, set the IP and log into the camera using a wired Ethernet connection.

It says Model number is CCTV-WF-CLA-4C-2B And it says 'UL-TECH 1080p Wireless IP Camera' on the packaging and under the model number, so might be false advertisement? ? Sir Lenscelot 3 Posted February 22, 2019 Found this https://www.dicksmith.com.au/da/buy/ul-tech-720p-wireless-ip-camera-ul-tech/ not sure if it is the same one you have but its a little suspicious that they list the camera as 720p then say 1080p further down. Sir Lenscelot 3 Posted February 23, 2019 Did you manage to test direct with and Ethernet cable?

Yes i did, they do not have an option for 1080p, guess i have to send them back for a refund, i don't know why they would say that they are 1080p camera when they are clearly only 720p since that is the only option available from the NVR and the camera settings.
