hik-connect lan only

Hi

I have a hikvision camera connected to my router via a POE switch which is using a synology NAS as the recording media. All of this works fine and is recording with motion detection no problem. I can view the recordings and live view via my laptop connected to the router via wifi. This is all setup at my workshop which at the moment doesn't have an internet connection. I have been trying to setup Hik-connect on my Iphone just to view the recordings via the lan when I'm there, no remote connection needed. 

Does the Hik-connect app for IOS not support an offline mode as when I try to add the camera the app complains that there is no device found?
