Time issues with DAHUA NVR5864-4KS2

Recommended Posts

Hello all

At my work we have 2x NVR5864-4KS2 NVR's running total of just over 70 dahua bullet cameras.

Our problem is that we cannot set NVR and IP camera clock to GMT. Camera's tend to have different time settings then NVR, and when we update the time, it still does not sync. This is really creating issues when we have to investigate workplace incidents and each camera showing different time.

Any advice how to solve this?

Many Thanks !

Hi. You need to switch off the time on each camera and just use the nvr time display

go into camera edit in menu and switch of OSD for all cameras

What we have firewire on you NVR?

Set you NTP     0.ca.pool.ntp.org

https://www.pool.ntp.org/zone/ca

I did so, but cameras still have different time from NVR.

Hello

I couldn't find those settings via NVR menu... however when I go to web browser and access camera directly via IP and web interface, there is time settings and NTP option, but still no "OSD" options? Please see screenshots.

On the below screenshot, by clicking on "Setting" nothing will appear, like it is dead button.

I don't know if cameras are set to sync with NVR, but they are not synching at all.

NVR time also tends to change by 1hr by iteself.

Hi. Click disable top right.
the camera time and date is not needed if connected to a nvr ...... nvr time and date is all that’s required .....when you are searching for footage it is searching nvr time and date not the cameras

camera time is only needed if using some vms software

your image you posted shows year/ month/ day ...... your gmt so change to day/ month/year

also you have time zone set to utp Dublin Edinburgh Lisbon.London

move it down till you get to gmt Dublin Edinburgh Lisbon London and also tick DST

Whatever I do, it has the mind of it's own. Even NVR time decides to go one hour back even thou I set it at GMT.

On camera interface, UTC is the only available option.

It is just annoying.

Ok. Your nvr was not ment for uk market

Utc is not a time zone and will not set summer time.

so you need to set the time on nvr to 1 hour ahead and it will become right

and on the 25th October you will need to set it to right time ........ if it had gmt it would do it automatically

Ok, so disable NTP for individual camera, and disable overlay for time.

Set NVR to GMT+1 and ALSO disable NTP on NVR or keep it enabled?

And I guess, now also disable DST?

And yes, I think you are right about this nvr not being intended for UK market...

Thank you Tom!
