Ally1321 0 Posted October 9, 2020 Hi, I’m looking for some help with PTZ camera. The camera intermittently flickers and flashes. I have it directly hooked up using RS485 to a power distribution box. I also have have a ground loop isolator on the camera. I have two of these same (PTZ) cameras, this is the only one that flickers with lines, but both will cut the picture if I move the camera. I am assuming it has something to do with the power? I have a 16ch DVR but only 9 cameras hooked up. Only 2 are PTZ’s. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. tomcctv 190 Posted October 9, 2020 Hi. Bit of a screwed up spec 9x 2amp is not 30amp what is the distance of your power cables and what cable are you using what is the spec for your ptz but it looks like your well under powered
Ally1321 0 Posted October 9, 2020 The distance is about 25ft. It is on a 50ft RS 485 cable. Would a shorter distance cable make any difference? (Sorry I don’t know much about this stuff). Here is the link to the camera on Amazon.
