Floureon DVR a6808nhs-c-uk formatting issue

Hi I have 2 of the same DVRs. 

1 is overwriting old recordings which is good. But the 2nd is formatting each time it becomes full. 

All settings appear to be the same. The only difference is that one is connected to SATA 1 and the other SATA 2. 

Would that make a difference?

Any help greatly appreciated.
