20X POE PTZ CAMERA RECOMMENDATIONS

Hello there,

I'm looking to get a PTZ camera so that I can identify faces and number plates when they arrive at the front gate of my property. The front gate is approximately 50m away from the house and acts as the entrance to a driveway. The PTZ camera will be mounted at the house facing the driveway. I already have a few Hikvision and Hiwatch IP cameras. I'm very pleased with the quality with these cameras, however I need to be able to Zoom up close. For this reason, I doubt a 4X camera will be good enough so I'm looking at 20X optical cameras. It must support POE and RTSP. Some kind of AI and patrol function would be a nice bonus.

So far I have found the following:

SUNBA 3MP IP PoE+ PTZ Camera Outdoor, 20x Optical Zoom@H.265, Motion & Human-Shape Detection, 24x7 Automatic Patrol, up to 100m Night Vision and ONVIF (405-D20X ECO Edition)

There are also some cheap ones on Ebay for about 110GBP. What does everyone recommend without spending too much money?

Hi. Ptz cameras from eBay don’t come with much warranty also something else for you to consider is seeing this

Motion detection on a ptz is pointless (it moves)

human detection works but you want cars and people 

are you just using it to watch your gate or will you be setting up a tour of your property as well …… ptz can also take a signal from your existing cameras to move it when another camera detects movement 

 

if your only looking at your gate have you thoughts about a fixed motorised lens camera

but in the uk your looking at around £300 for a good ptz with auto tracking and colour night
