50% Failure Rate: Clover OB220 B/W Outdoor Camera

Recommended Posts

From Wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CCTV:

Closed-circuit television (CCTV) is the use of television cameras to transmit a signal to a specific, limited set of monitors. It differs from broadcast television in that all components are directly linked, and that the signal is not openly transmitted, though it may employ point to point wireless links. CCTV is often used for surveillance in areas where there is an increased need for security, such as banks, casinos, and airports. They may also have military uses. The use of CCTVs in public places has increased, causing debate over security versus privacy. CCTVs can be permanently in service or only in service when required.

LOL ... dont believe everything on Wikipedia, its human edited, a majority of information on their are a person's (the particular editor - which can be anyone) opinion's or views .. for example, they are claiming IP cameras are CCTV, when they arent ... point is ... Pro's dont consider Clover CCTV ..

Hmmm .. trick question .. anything that isnt Radio Shack, Clover, Lorex, etc ..

Something that lasts at least 3 years to start with and doesnt have a high failure rate ... a camera that produces a high quality image, is connected with coax or fiber to a main system ... and the list can go on all day .. but im busy right now ..

Those are qualitative definitions not a citation CCTV's attributes and properties.

However, Wiki is completely open source, you are entirely free to submit your definition to the public encyclopedia.

You're also welcome to open the same argument with Clover, but that would be like walking into every NYC pizzeria and argue that their pizza is not the "Best Pizza In NYC."

peace out.

Fortunately I Dont view Clover as CCTV equipment so I would never enter into an argument with them over that .. as for Wiki .. people with too much time on their hands. .
