MintUser 0 Posted September 20, 2006 We have a Digital Watchguard Multicam Digital Surveillance System that was installed before I started working here. I have the manual, but unfortunately I cannot find the installation CD anywhere. The reason I need it is because we're changing to a cable connection (thus dynamic IP), so we're going to have to stop using the webcam server and start using the Remote Playback Client (actually now that I think about it, I should probably post a question regarding that). Anyways, so I need the "Remote Playback Client Site" which is on the Installation CD. On the first page of the manual, it says "New Features in Version 7.0" so I assume that's the version I need. AFAIK, we have a GeoVision GV-1480...in case that makes a difference. Thanks!
rory 0 Posted September 20, 2006 Once you have Remote Playback Server Running on the DVR, you can download version 8.01 from Geo's site, that is the full version, and works also with earlier versions. 8.02 is just an upgrade to 8.01. http://www.geovision.com.tw/english/5_0.asp?sfiled1=didg&pno=
kao 0 Posted September 21, 2006 If I understand your situation correctly, you can still use the webserver, but you will have to use dynamic dns. Or...purchase a static IP from the cable company. Around here its like $6.00 per month for a static IP.
