cctv_down_under 0 Posted September 22, 2006 I have a customer that wants to buy a Geo system from me, we have been using the 1480 combo card which can record at 720 x 576 (i think) but he is not happy with this resolution and wants more, what I need to know is: 1/ The new IP server what res does it do, when is it available and what RES is FULL D1? 2/ I see there is a hardware compression board there, what res does this do. 3/ How can I record in more than that res? rory 0 Posted September 22, 2006 In NTSC 720x480 is the highest for any DVR currently. 4CIF (NTSC) = 704x480 4CIF (PAL) = 704x576 D1 (NTSC) = 720x480 D1 (PAL) = 720x576 What kind of cameras are they using, most of the pro box cameras (name brand bigger $ ones) do 811x508 (NTSC) and 795x596 (PAL) ... Lower Res and OEM High Res cameras range around 542x492 (NTSC) and 542x582 (PAL) Rory
