YachtEng 0 Posted August 12, 2021 The boat i work on has a Panasonic CCTV system, one of the cameras was damaged and needed replacing. I found what i thought to be a suitable replacement online however the original was a WV-CW864AE (PAL) and the replacement is a WV-CW864A (NTSC) so when connected it has no control (coax video and control) and the image is black and white. Does anyone here know if i can get a converter to sort this or suggest a replacement camera i could use? TIA

Most law enforcement or courts will allow proprietary software to view footage i would keep your existing cameras and your new one and replace the recorder

I will look into a new recorder. I guess a newer Panasonic model will be suitable. We are in France but the boat moves a lot, Europe summers and Caribbean winters. Possibly America next year. tomcctv 190 Posted August 14, 2021 Hi then I would look at a hybrid recorder it will run your existing cameras and also allow you to go upto 4K analog or IP cameras not expensive it’s around €
YachtEng 0 Posted August 14, 2021 Will it work with the controller we have? Panasonic WV-CU360CJ or will we need to find a controller that is compatible with the new recorder?
tomcctv 190 Posted August 14, 2021 Hi. I know the controller is compatible switchable via dip switches switch dips for rj45 data but you will have to check if your ptz cameras are rj45 compatible a modern recorder will also allow mouse control as well as controller you can also control via a pad if you have a local network onboard
