CSG 0 Posted September 24, 2006 One bad point on the Geovison system is that in order to make changes to the system you have to stop recording. In more than one instance I've come back to the console and found it wasn't in the record mode, I probably forgot to re-enable recording. Standalone recorders are always in the record mode. For instance with Dedicated Micros, there is no way to stop recording unless you turn it off.
rory 0 Posted September 24, 2006 You can make changes in the INI files without stopping the recording ... but yeah it shouldbt be that way with Geo ..
cctv_down_under 0 Posted September 24, 2006 I agree.... I can not for the life of me uderstand why they do not he an export of settigs feature as well so you can save the settngs, I know there are already too many options for the Geovision but a simple tick box that sas "Eable montioring after 5 minutes Idle" woud be nice. ezCCTV 0 Posted September 25, 2006 In version 8, you can simply go into the Configure menu and select "System Idle Protection Setting" select "Monitor All" and set a specific amount of seconds. You can also get it to logout the Supervisor and login with a specific user account.
