srodster 0 Posted October 7, 2021 Hoping someone has experience with power surges on a PTZ camera, even though I had a surge protector on it. I have a BOSCH VG5-624-ECS w/ a Bosch VG4-A-PA0 camera mount. I had a nearby lightning strike guessing 6 miles or so away, and then my camera went out. This camera is pretty modular. When I inspected it, all the fuses were good, 3 in the camera mount box, and 2 in the actual camera dome. When I power it on, the only thing running is the heater fan. I am wondering what is the most sensitive item on this, that would have been compromised. Would it be the control module stack (F01U241097), or maybe the actual camera itself (AutoDome 36x DN NTSC G5, part F01U217886)? I also see the G4 Comms Module (VG4-MTRN-S, part F01U010508). Any direction is greatly appreciated.....
srodster 0 Posted October 25, 2021 Well, $600 later for the repair. It was the CPU Module and the Comms Module....., now I'll know, but hopefully it won't happen again.......
