Existing CCTV and inline PC

Hi,

 

Does anyone know if I can put a PC with video capture type card in-line with an existing CCTV system that displays the picture?

 

Basically I want to chop into the cable, add another connector plug that into the PC and grab whatever is shown on screen.

Yes, use a distribution amplifier to split the signal... like having two sets of cables then, redirect one set into the DVr card and continue the old ones where they went.. via the loop throughs on the amp... or take out the analogue gear and record to PC where the analogue gear is and then use your computer network to view it on your PC
