Hikvision nvr compatibility

Not a professional installer and after a bit advice. Installed a 16 camera hikvision system for a friend with standard 5 mp POE dome cameras..one has gone faulty , would it be okay to replace this with a 5 mp colorvu dome. Any advice appreciated
