Running Dahua nvr without connecting to router

Hey all, I'm about to be the proud owner of a dahua nvr4108 system, and want to know if it's possible to run the system (ie view the cameras live and playback the recordings from the unit itself), without connecting it to my router?

I can connect if need be, but will need to run more wires through the house.

Hi. Yes you can run it without internet 

but if needed too then you can use a power line adapter instead of running cables around your house
