celnut 0 Posted March 10, 2022 I thought I would upgrade my Swann analogue DVR to an NVR, so I bought a Sannce, Model No - N48PBE, but I'm not too happy with this system it's lacking a lot of functions can anyone recommend a decent not too expensive NVR system? tomcctv 190 Posted March 12, 2022 2 hours ago, celnut said: hi, 6 cameras, £400 Hi your budget is a bit low for anything reliable or will last more than 12 months also 6 camera system puts you in between prices as recorder come in 4-8-16 and 32 channel your budget will just get you a pro nvr system 8 channel nvr 4 x 2mp cameras you then can add 4 more cameras over time when budget allows other problem is cable ….. kits come with cheap cat5 (acc) so you also need to budget for cable

tomcctv 190 Posted March 15, 2022 Hi even hikvision is above your budget because everyone and his dog sells it with stupid markup and a pro would not fit hik in the uk anyway were are you based in the UK

tomcctv 190 Posted March 18, 2022 Hi. I would look at TVT systems you have two options with cctv HDanalog or IP …. One runs on a dvr other on a nvr HD analog is the cheapest but no difference in quality HD analog needs coax shotgun run for dvr to each camera location 100m is around £45 and also needs a power supply to run cameras HD cameras are cheaper than IP but resolution is the same IP system is cat5 cable run from recorder to each camera (upto100m) but this also powers the cameras so no need for power supply what part of uk and I’ll send you a link for a close supplier
