Hickvision IP camera connection issues after router change

Recommended Posts

Hello,

apologies if I’m creating a duplicate issue I couldn’t find this exact issue.

I have a small set of Hikvision IP cameras, a doorbell and an NVR at my home. 2 cameras are connected thru a POE switch, 1 directly to router, doorbell is wireless and NVR is non-POE and connected to router.
it was all working fine until yesterday when I changed my broadband from BT to virgin for a faster broadband. But had to go thru pain of connecting lots of devices to new router. Everything else I sorted out but 2 cameras that are connected via POE switch I can’t seem to make work.

- they are showing offline on NVR and Hikvision app

- on SADP app I found that they are showing as active but have old IP and gateway and possibly that’s the problem??

- I can’t change the settings, I get “timeout” error in SADP

- I can’t access IP addresses in browser and they won’t respond to ping

- tried restarting cameras and POE switch several times but no luck

- I’ve tried to connect one of them to router directly to rule out issues with POE switch but again no luck

- I opened them to check if there is a reset switch but there is nothing

- I tried to extract xml file on SADP to send to hickvision customer services (hoping they will help) but can’t extract that too I get “timeout” error.
so it seems like I need to somehow reset them to factory settings to get rid of the issues but I have no clue how :(

I would really appreciate if any expert on this forum can help me on this please.

thanks
