Cile01 0 Posted October 18, 2022 I have 4 cameras on my residence. Things were fine until I couldn't get signal on 2 tv's but can view live via SuperLivePlus app. Both tv's said no signal at the same time. I connect DVR to tv's via Pigtail HDMI Extenders using cat5 cable. The first thing I replaced was the HDMI splitter that takes signal from DVR via HDMI and splits the signals with the sender extender and runs to receiver extender on tv's. This didn't work. I tested short HDMI cable from DVR to splitter and it appears fine. Took DVR to store and tested HDMI port on DVR itself. They said it is fine. Next I replaced the 2 sender and 2 receiver HDMI Extenders. Still nothing. Also switched to different HDMI ports on both tv's. The odd thing is there is no signal on both tv's andit happened at the same time. I'm trying to be proactive and solve myself in order to save a service call :) I can't recall anything that could have happened around this time electrically that would have caused the problem. The DVR, power supply, and both tv's are on surge protectors. Anyone have an idea on what I could be overlooking.
Cile01 0 Posted October 24, 2022 FIXED-tech called before visiting house to trouble shoot. Even though tv said "no signal", the tech had me use the mouse to access settings. I held the right button on mouse for approximately 10 seconds and heard the DVR beep. Right after that, the screen came on with all 4 cameras showing as usual. Checked the 2nd tv and it was fine also. Tech stated that the resolution had been changed somehow and the tv didn't recognize the change. By using the mouse, it set the resolution back to default. He also stated that I might have to do this a couple of times to get the picture, but it will eventually remember the setting. Save me a $65 service call.
