quovadisuk 0 Posted January 3, 2023 Got this dvr and it pores up and I can access the menus I changed the date, and formatted hard drive but then switches off and restarts within 2 minutes of booting up………any ideas what this could be please ?
tomcctv 190 Posted January 3, 2023 Hi what happens if you remove a cables and also disconnect the hard drive…. Does it still boot up
Mark_M 3 Posted January 4, 2023 As tomcctv is hinting to, I also think it maybe a power supply issue. tomcctv is suggesting to unplug many devices so there is less power being used from the plug adaptor. Working for a while then failing is a sign the power supply is likely dying.

By chance what electtrical components offer the power to drive and are they replaceable or isn’t it worth it?
tomcctv 190 Posted January 4, 2023 Hi next thing to check is the cpu cooling fan (any internal fan) see if that starts up on startup
