Any way to connect CCTV camera directly on a laptop ? without a DVR card ?

 

What kind of hardware do i need ?

 

 

i just want my sell rep to use them to show quality of the camera to customer.

yes and this is what I have been doing lately when I go out to do a site survey and design.

I bring a standard Ip camera, my laptop, and a crossover cable. So that way instead of looking and guessing with my eyes I can actually get snap shots from the camera to have images of potential camera locations and views. Works great.

I use an Avermedia pcmcia tv/tuner card. Connect any analog cctv camera to it and works perfect. Infact I use my laptop to focus cameras this way.

If you want to really show of the quality of the camera I would get the sales rep to take a decent portable TV or cctv monitor. Cameras look better on a real CRT screen than on a laptop.
