hometownsecurity 0 Posted October 20, 2006 If you were going to quote a 20 camera system, would you go with a 32 channel DVR or two DVRs (16 ch. and 4 ch.)? If you use two, can they be "cascaded" to watch all of the cameras from one console or would you have to use a KVM switch?
VST_Man 1 Posted October 20, 2006 standalone or PCbased? - standalone stacked is possible if you spend the extra $$$. Personally I don't feel the cost is worhth it because you just can't watch 20 xcamera's at once..hence the reason for recording it. PC based is what I'd do........................but, if the client is nt PCsavy I'd stay with standalone.
CollinR 0 Posted October 20, 2006 Many PC DVRs have a CS style app that will allow you to watch multiple DVRs from one terminal if you like.
