stoneaxwell 0 Posted October 25, 2006 Hello, I'm Stoneaxwell and I'm a DVR abuser i mean user. Hey guys. I am a MIs administrator for one company and the owner of that company has another company in another location that i do work for. He purchased a geovision system (not sure what the model inof is) but it does use the multiview application. Here is the issue. He is getting this error when he open the application and then tries to zoom then pan one of the cameras left or right Ths instruction at 0x7x910466 has failed. There is a problem with the memory at 0x08e00586. The memory could not be read multiview.exe. Then after we hit ok on that error we get the stupid windows "send a report " box. If we chose "Dont Send" then he can continue with the application for a while, but then it will Fatal Error on me and close out. If we chose the send report then it immediately will close out and he has to start the application again. Has anyone had this problem and if so whats the fix. Thanks in advance Your friendly noob stoneaxwell
kensplace 0 Posted October 25, 2006 Never used a geo card yet, but in general if I got a message like that I would try a number of things. Before doing anything, check you are using hardware as recommended by geo, dont know what the problems are with the non intel boards on certain cards, but there are some, make sure its not something like that first.... Next I would thing I would look at first, as it references memory and the problem from what you say seems to repeatable and very specific (although MS error messages are not exactly renowned for being accurate) I would download a copy of memtest and give the pc's memory a thorough test. Second, check the hard disk for errors, defrag it and scandisk it. Third if it still has problems, try reinstalling the software (although often I would do this step first, but it depends on the circumstances, not familiar with how much of a pain geo would be to reinstall so would do it last first time round...) Would also do a good antivirus scan just for good measure and ensure the pc is not overheating.
rory 0 Posted October 26, 2006 Is this the Local DVR Software (Multicam), or the Remote Video Software (Multiview)?
stoneaxwell 0 Posted October 26, 2006 Is this the Local DVR Software (Multicam), or the Remote Video Software (Multiview)? This is on the remote Video Software Multiview. I also forgot to mention that there is no software installed on the remote monitoring machine. Its just a website that you log into. The remote machine is an AMD 64FX x2 4800. rory 0 Posted October 26, 2006 Ok, the browser based Multiviewer .. What OS is on the Client's PC? What is the Client's PC Specs? What Version of Internet Explorer are they using? What Version is on the Geo DVR? (eg. 6.0, 7.04, 8.01, 8.02, etc) Does the Multiview Application Load its Gui and if so do they ever get any video? It is actually not browser based (not an ActiveX Control) as it installs its own Gui. But once it has installed okay then we need to look at the questions above.
