eyemax ht-09 incessant speaker buzz

My eyemax ht-09 makes a constant incessant squeal.  I traced most of the squal to the speaker located on the front panet.  The HD light also stays lit. The instruction manual maks no mention of this sound and what it means. 

Can anyone help ?
