GuyInJapan 0 Posted April 10, 2023 Hi I’m hoping to get some information from you guys/gals if I can. Recently our school opened a new branch and one of the classrooms has a camera connected to a TV directly outside the class so that parents can observe the lesson in real time. However, it appears to me that there may actually be two (2) cameras not one. I’d appreciate any information you can provide based on the photos that I’ll try to attach to this message. If there is a second camera: what kind is it and how/where could it be storing/transmitting the image (and audio?)? I’m concerned that our company may be remotely monitoring us without informing us. Thanks for any information that you can provide.
tomcctv 190 Posted April 10, 2023 Hi both cameras store offsite…. The black face camera is a dahua network camera …. It does not just run on a monitor outside it has to go into a nvr or server the other camera is a PT smart camera that moves and also records video and audio footage is saved on a China server …. Both camera companies are China government owned what did you expect after Japan just signed a security deal with China
GuyInJapan 0 Posted April 10, 2023 Thanks for the info. I hope that I can get some more. I’m not overly worried about the Chinese government watching other instructors or myself teaching children to speak English. However, I AM concerned about our company watching or recording us remotely without informing us. There has been ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from the company that even suggests that we are being monitored. Again, thanks for ANY information that anyone can provide. Many thanks!
