Mr_Funk 0 Posted October 30, 2006 4 Camera system, 2 cams in front, 2 cams in rear of house. Day/Night monitoring/recording required. Both front and backyard areas are fairly small, length of driveway is normal, maybe 20 feet, or so. Thinking about: (1) Geovision GV-600-4 (4) NUVICO NVCC-HW3895IR36N http://www.nuvico.com/product_detail.asp?strCategoryCD=CC001&strModel=&prod_cd=NP0041&Page=3 Wadda think? kensplace 0 Posted October 30, 2006 O.1 Lux (Day Light) - that seems very good for a colour image in daylight, wonder if the specs are accurate?
securitymonster 0 Posted October 30, 2006 Should work for you. Just know that you can't gaurantee identification especially with only 2 cameras out front. The more wide angel you get, the less detail you will get on the image, especially recorded video that is compressed. Around here, with home break ins and car vandalism/theft, we typically cover the front of the house alone with one camera per car in the driveway, so if there is 2 cars, we are putting 2 cameras up, one per car. One cam at the front door, a cam for each side of the house, and maybe 1 overall front yard cam. its important to be strategic when placing them!
libertysurveillance 0 Posted November 1, 2006 Hope you have lighting, because you're not going to see anything at night if its pitch black with those cameras. Little light though, goes a long way.
sal 0 Posted November 4, 2006 FACT: Those cameras work excellent in complete darkness.
Mr_Funk 0 Posted November 10, 2006 Sorry, been out for awhile. Thanks to everyone for the feedback. Unless something changes, I'll probably move forward with this system. Thanks.
