Pres 0 Posted May 15, 2023 We had a kguard h.264 system installed a few years back and are looking at replacing it with a Swann enforcer the cables to the existing cameras are BNC type (yellow and red) the enforcer also has BNC but they are purple and red does anyone know if the existing cables will work with the new camera as it will be abit tricky if we need to replace all the cables for the new cameras
tomcctv 190 Posted May 15, 2023 Hi why replace with a old system Swann are selling it off cheap it’s only 2mp as far as your coax which type do you have installed …. Is it rg59 or a lead kit with red and yellow plugs either end (which is not coax)
Pres 0 Posted May 15, 2023 It is the cable that was supplied with the original cctv, Reason for selected replacement is cost and it seems a reasonable quality
videobruce 0 Posted July 11, 2023 As long as it is 75 ohm cable. Those colors are usually used for RCA 'phono' plugs analog audio & video. You are familiar with a BNC type of plug vs a RCA plug?
