Steve Nye 0 Posted June 14, 2023 I have 6 or so camera attached to a Blue. Iris PC system which does all the motion detection, storage and notification based upon getting a feed from each camera based upon IP addresses. The majority are Hikvision cameras and the firmware have never been updated. Given my Blue Iris PC has died I am looking for an NVR replacement and seeking recommendations. I picked up the cameras at various times and have not updated due to worries about f/w issues if the cameras were Chinese rather than international versions. If your cameras are working then I would not do any updates on them ….as they are working with your pc then you should not have any problems connecting to a new nvr i would look at a TVT recorder … it is one of the best on the market and also uses the best app made for cctv .. it allows full control of cameras - remote reset - and alter all recorders menu from the app Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
