rory 0 Posted November 1, 2006 Depends on the WDR technology used, which camera is it? Simply, the WDR generally handles lighting sources better, such as glare from car lights, or backlighting issues typically found in normal cameras. This does not mean they see better under low lighting though, that depends on the camera's CCD chip. Quality of the image is not effected by the WDR, that is camera independant, look for the Picture Elements / Pixels, dont go by the TVL.
sodagar 0 Posted November 2, 2006 Thanks for the information, if the no. of pixles are 410k or 470k, will it be good enough. Actually the demand of my customer is that the camera should be color, of 500 tvl , WDR, day and night and with image masking feature. is there any manufacturer in Tiwan or in Korea kindly recomend. Thanks, S.I.Sodagar.
rory 0 Posted November 2, 2006 For some of your question, see these threads, http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=5523 http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=6031 As to the masking feature, that is normally done in the DVR software. As for S Korea or Taiwan, it would be S Korea, but generally they sell only to Distributors for OEM and require large purchases and monthly quotas.
