TunaCan 0 Posted September 2, 2023 Hello guys! Nowadays I am really stressful to set the bitrate for my CCTV system from Lorex. Can anybody tell me how to set the bitrate over 6144Kbps? It can not be set over 6144 at NVR record setting. I have installed some of the cameras, so I tried to set it up to get a best image quality. First of all, camera itself already set up at 8192Kbps in direct connection between camera and PC. But I couldn't set up the bitrate over 6144 when I tried to set up the record setting on NVR. It is stuck at 6144 so I can't get a better image quality even if it can be set. FYI, Motion detection is disabled. And also I can set 30fps at 4K on camera setting page, but I can't on recording page! The maximum fps is stuck at 15fps. No answer from Lorex support and I have really no idea about this issue. What do I have to do? Any suggestion?
tomcctv 190 Posted September 2, 2023 Hi. Cameras and nvrs will have an optimum range for giving smooth data travel…. It’s not just about bitrate you also need to take bandwidth into account your lorex will allow your 4K quality as out of box what is it your looking at doing ? Is it quality of display on screen or better quality remote view

Total bandwith of my NVR is 264Mbps and remaining bandwith is appx. 239Mbps. So currently I am using only 25Mbps for 4K 5 cameras. Even if I will have 32 cameras which is full capacity of my NVR according to user manual, it's only 160Mbps. So 104Mbps still available with 32 4K cameras. Is it really acceptable..? Regarding the image footage, I would say both are almost same quality in display and in remote view.
