jisaac 0 Posted November 4, 2006 So I won a choice between these there. And since I dont usually use geovision I dont have any clue as to what they are. Any suggestions? Pros and cons of each?
rory 0 Posted November 4, 2006 Center V2 is a central Monitoring software, does off site recording etc. http://www.geovision.com.tw/english/solution/GV-CCS_keyfeat.htm (used it and its great .. could use some improvements but ill wait for the SDK) Vital Signs is a "health" manager ... useful if you maintain many Geo DVRs .. http://www.geovision.com.tw/english/solution/GV-VSM_Intro.htm Control Center basically is their better Remote Program than what is included. http://www.geovision.com.tw/english/solution/GV-CCS_keyfeat.htm (havent used it myself so no comment) Rory
kensplace 0 Posted November 4, 2006 Never used geo yet, so I just went by the marketing stuff and picked v2. It was a close call, almost went for control center, but figured v2 would be more fun. Chances are I will end up needing the other one though!
jisaac 0 Posted November 4, 2006 the funny thing is i did not even know their was a contest going on. I really only ever read the general discussion, dvr, system desgin down to the dealer section. So I was like "what???"when i got the message from larry that I had won a geo card
rory 0 Posted November 4, 2006 The Center V2 software is great for offsite recording, i let it run on a PC at the alarm company for 3 months recording motion from 3 remote sites .. worked good and never crashed. .. now that said .. it comes included in the Geo software for up to 5 DVRs .. so maybe get one of the others if you have the choice ..
