My video res is changing each second

Recommended Posts

Not sure what to call this. But if you look at my youtube video, it is really noticeable in the grass. Pick 1080 in youtube to see it clearer. The video is changing each second. My dvr is the Dahua XVR5116H.

I don't know what to look for or change.

Hi. It looks like smart record is enabled. This is used to save space on hard drive.. basically your recording is lower res when no motion is detected and switches to high on motion detection as you can see in your video when the little Bunny 🐰 moves it’s high res.
mare you recording 24/7 ?

also you might want to turn up your pre and post record time … it looks like you have both set to 0 in your video

I am seeing the shifting if I am just viewing and in recordings. I don't see a change if there is motion or not. It is constant.

Ok I think I figured it out. I changed the Bit Rate Type from CBR to VBR and upped the Quality to 6(Best) and I Frame Interval to 2 seconds.
