CollinR 0 Posted November 14, 2006 Check your temps, many BIOS are setup to shutdown before something fries. You might also check manually HDs don't usually have sending units and they can shut down due to heat exhaustion.
rory 0 Posted November 14, 2006 also try reinstalling Geo ... if images used by Geo are corupt or deleted for example .. mainly the Skins .. then the Geo Software at least will crash and restart over and over .. or if the DVR card is loose .. it will also cause major issues. 313-313 0 Posted November 14, 2006 this system was running smooth for more than a year. i reinstalled the OS and upgraded Geo software from 7.0 to 8.0. As suggested i will reinstall geosoftware.
CameraGenius 0 Posted November 14, 2006 should be able to go into event viewer and see what is shutting the system down or at least get an indication of what is going on
501 0 Posted November 15, 2006 Have you watched it shut off? Does it close down the programs or just shut right off with no warning? this could help it trouble shooting it. Did you check the System log in the Videolog?
vf702 0 Posted November 16, 2006 Did you check your card version to make sure that it was compatible with 8.0? Being that it originally had 7.0, it may not have been a new enough card to upgrade. They had a buy back/upgrade program to compensate for that problem.
