They sheer volume of details is so overwhelming, I need someone who is above board, and recommends, sells and installs quality equipment. Any suggestions? Security Consultant 0 Posted November 21, 2006 Hello ellerjefe, i understand what you said. Here are some tipes to choose a DVR system. 1. Confirm the DVR type, PC based DVR or Dedicated DVR. They have almost same features. But the former is more flexibe, complicated, suitable for experienced integrators. And the latter one is easier to deployed and operate., suitable for new users. 2. What is the application? Do you need high quality and high resolution in image. The resolution range from NTSC:4CIF(704x480),DCIF(528x320),2CIF(704x240),CIF(352x240), QCIF(176x120). And the price for them are of course different. 3. How many channel you want? There are 2 channels, 4 channels, 8 channels, 16 channels cards. 4. Do you need Audio input. 5. Do you need real-time recording for each channel. 6. Which kind of functions you require? Pls tell us your requirements and application, we will help to recommend one for you.
