IP cameras with old Digital recorder

Recommended Posts

Hi,

would like to establish a WLAN IP surveillance system with IP cameras, but our client use "normal" digital recorders with BNC video input.

How can I transform the videosignals from one WLAN Router to 16 BNC inputs of this recorder?

Thanks for help.

Easiest way is to check the software that is available for the DVR ..

most of them come with IP (Remote/Network) software .... then just plug it into a router and assign it an IP .. other info for that is listed in the Computer/Networking forum.

Otherwise, you would need IP Video Encoders for each CCTV Camera ..

or IP Video Decoders if it is coming from an IP camera or server to be placed on the DVR system..

If the existing DVR is running on Windows, and the capture cards are not proprietary and capable of active x, you could use in India are software like Luxriot, which is capable of making use of IP cameras or capture cards.
