kensplace 0 Posted November 30, 2006 They should get a pro to re-install many of those cameras, really bad quality, you cant make anything out on some of them. Could probably smuggle a herd of elephants over that border if thats the quality of the surveilance.
joe4 0 Posted November 30, 2006 I could not even get it to work. A local Houston news paper had a write-up slamming the entire project. I wish a news crew would do a fake boarder crossing and see what happens if someone reports them. If you had anyone close enough to respond to a problem why not just use him with a set of binoculars? BTW Rory, I spent a week in your country for vacation.... when can I move in
kensplace 0 Posted November 30, 2006 Whats crazier, apart from the poor field of view (one camera shows mostly sky!), insufficient night lighting, and general crap setup is the fact they have spent a load of money just to end up educating the public how bad their border surveilance is, and how easy it would be to get past those cameras. Not to mention opening themselves up to denial of service attacks, hacking etc by making the cams public....
