jarekt 0 Posted December 14, 2006 Hi all. I've just bought my first standalone DVR (I've used DVR cards) and choosed AVC760 because of acceptable price tag. Problem is that my recorders works with hidden cameras and i have to have a possibility to dump all HDD content at once (preferably without PC) so it can be analysed on PCs by my workers. Problem is that network backup works only for partial backup (there's 500 MB file size limitation and no batch backup is possible at all) and takes ages (more or less it's 300MB per hour). I've tried to connect HDD to PC directly but there's strange file system and no windows nor Linux machine can access files on it. I have no other ideas how to solve my problem - my DVRs works mostly with 2 cameras for 7 days so there is more than 20 GB of data to backup Another problem is that with motion detection switched on there are thousands of files even when movement is continuous. Without batch backup possibility I'm forced to use timer record which is really sad. So is there any solution for all HDD content backup or direct HDD access or I have to abandon my plans to replace PCs with DVR cards by cheap standalone recorders?
