Robert Oaks 0 Posted July 7, 2004 Got an email from http://www.dvrwholesaler.com this morning, promotting their Linux embedded PC recorders. I was ticked off to start with, because on the email, they showed my password. Anyway, to garner some innformation, I called their "800" number, and was most surprised to find that I had reached "newegg". Then tried their regular phone number, and it was also "newegg". Phone guy did not know anything about DVR wholesaler, or their pc recorders. Does anyone know about this company. I have been looking for an embedded pc system, but something is not just right here . . . thanks
AVCONSULTING 0 Posted July 7, 2004 I'm afraid they are another one of the 50 or so local homegrown board jockeys that infest Southern California. Be happy they aren't out in your territory. Problem with them and places like them out here is they have almost no financial backing so anything you buy be prepared to find out they will be gone sooner or later and you will have no support. I'd stick to getting something from your local distributor that you know will take care of you if you have any problems.
rory 0 Posted July 7, 2004 they are selling the same DVRs as Eclipse CCTV, and they are originally made in Korea. Very cheap quality.
