nalexia 0 Posted January 3, 2007 HI Has Anyone had any experience with using a graphics card on the PCI express slot as i have been trying to set up my own system using a geforce 7300gs card and it refuses to run my cctv system there is no motion onscreen and the only way to see a picture is to to click on the camera and then all i get is a snapshot i am assuming that it is the graphics cards fault or could it be something else?. i know that the advice is not to purchase a card from ebay but i checked with previous buyers and they were happy with the card (i have provided a link to view the DVR card if it helps. Specification: Motherboard: MSI P965 NEO Chipset: Intel Processor: p4 2.8 Duo (2 x 1.4ghz) Ram: 1gb DDR2 Graphics card: Geforce 7300gs 256MB/DDR2 Dvr Card: 8ch 200/240fps/h.264 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/8-Channe-240fps-Real-Time-High-Speed-Video-DVR-card-H_W0QQitemZ300064381320QQihZ020QQcategoryZ88756QQcmdZViewItem thanks
CollinR 0 Posted January 3, 2007 Pretty sure it's the ebay DVR card. First off in the pic you can only see 4 encoders, thats 120 fps rather then the 240 they are advertising. Heck the same guy is selling pirated Geovision products. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300064687250&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RSEE_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT&refitem=300064381320&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=active_view_item&usedrule1=UpSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget
nalexia 0 Posted January 3, 2007 Hi I have sent the card back to the supplier but i wondered if the fault was with the graphics card as i managed to get it to run on a AMD 2.4 via chipset motherboard and matrox g400 card. by the way the card did have 8 chips on the board and the connectors for 8 cameras and the system did see 8 channels. cheers
turksan 0 Posted January 9, 2007 Graphic card caused the problem. These DVR cards only support ATI PCI Express graphic cards.
