jisaac 0 Posted January 4, 2007 This topic could go in this section or the ip section. But I chose cameras. Do any of you guys use any ptz's that have image hold feature? Man that is great for reducing storage consumption from ptz's cameras. Also its great for VBR transmission. That is a pretty good idea that has no been talked about very much if any. If you have not used a ptz with image hold, i would recommend it. Especially for viewing over the network.
ak357 0 Posted January 4, 2007 what is it? the image-hold feature prevents blurring when the camera moves
rory 0 Posted January 4, 2007 So essentially it is Image Stabilization ..? "Image stabilization creates sharper pictures by damping vibration to avoid motion blur."
jisaac 0 Posted January 4, 2007 image hold is when you in a tour/seq it will hold the image of that preset and when the camera moves completely to the other preset it will then put that image up on the screen. So you never actually see the ptz move in a tour. it looks like a multiplexer switching between single frames. example http://arksurveillance.com/hostvids/imagehold.avi
