CoolDude 0 Posted January 8, 2007 Is there any way to get a PAL version to record NTSC? Thanks
rory 0 Posted January 8, 2007 Id think flashing it with an NTSC bin file would maybe do it, but best to contact GE on that as if not, would loose everything.. i could look in the files i have here but I dont remember seeing anything about that.
SBTVideoman 0 Posted March 1, 2007 It depends on what version the unit is. The early versions were dedicated PAL or NTSC and as Rory rightly points out, you'd need to reflash a PAL unit into NTSC. The later version however were dual-system capable...they would autodetect upon boot up...but NTSC was their default.
CoolDude 0 Posted March 2, 2007 I just tried booting up with a camera connected and it configures itself for NTSC. Yeh! The only difference is the max record still reads 50PPS for PAL not 60 for NTSC. Minor problem of no consequence. When I plugged the camera before booting it did not recognise it as NTSC. Thanks.
