green50 0 Posted January 17, 2007 My father-in-law owns a medium size kitchen manufacturing company which recently was broken into. He had a basic alarm system with no cameras or monitoring devices. Because of this he has 2 systems in mind, Verint or March Networks. I am not associated with his busines at all and do not know alot about security systems; nor does he. He wanted to get unbiased advise on these 2 systems. I don't know how he came accross these names, but I told him I would find some information about them. I came accross this site from Google. Does anyone have an expert opinion on either of these 2 options. Thanks in advance. John
cctv_down_under 0 Posted February 2, 2007 I use the March gear, it is very well built and you ae unlinkely to ever have any problems, it is not cheap though and lacks some features compared to other DVR's
green50 0 Posted February 2, 2007 Thanks for you input. I noticed your posts earlier on March. The question is, is the extra cost of March products worth it. John
cctv_down_under 0 Posted February 3, 2007 If you are after stabiltiy, then yes, if features then no (Unless doing POS), the march is one of the best built DVR's I have seen it is not a mini PC or an embedded syhstem with PC architecture, it is purpose built and has an inbuilt UPS, I like them a lot becasue they do not fail, but the feature set is very weak. To answer your question it is like considering a Toyota and a BMW, both are pretty darn reliable, but one has alot more bells and whistles!
