krama 0 Posted January 19, 2007 Hi all, Just a bit stuck on a networking problem. I want to watch the camera's using geovisions web service but am unsure of the ip adress to enter. I know my ip address of the server but if I use that then it will look at the server only and not the computer attached. Is there anway to do this?? Thanks Mark
Thomas 0 Posted January 27, 2007 The way computers handle multiple "servers" on the same machine is by the use of Ports. Web traffic defaults to port 80, so just put the IP address into your web browser and you'll be good to go.
WirelessEye 0 Posted January 28, 2007 I just need to mention that if you are trying to access a server that is behind a firewall, you'll need to enable NAT and set the appropriate port.
rory 0 Posted January 28, 2007 you will need to port forward: http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=3287 Also, what network feature of Geo you use will depend on which ports you forward. If you need a list of all of them, please post a separate question in the GeoVision forum.
