How do I get past windows welcome screen? When restarting ?

How do I get past windows welcome screen? When restarting? Now that I updated to Service pack 2. Windows Welcome screen comes up. And untill I click on the user icon. Windows does not start. And that means Geovision does not start. I figured out how to boot Windows with out it going to the Welcome screen or Startup screen which ever it is called. But I can not remember how I did it. Does any one know how to get to those settings in Windows? Thanks Dave

get tweakUI from Microsoft........it will configure your autoboot & more.

 

or you can do the regedit thing....but that is harder

How many users do you have?

 

If you have more than just a single admin, then it requires a setting in the registry to auto login to the account you want to use.

 

You can use Tweakui like said above, the actual registry key is here ..

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Here is an easy answer. Go to the run command and type "control userpasswords2" including the space and uncheck "Users must enter....".
