jeromephone 6 Posted February 22, 2007 I have a system Ver 8.0 1240 board When you save from viewlog by clicking on the avi the files it creates are way too fast to view in playback from windows media player. even if you choose slow speed from media player they are still to fast. Am I missing a geovision setting someplace? They seem OK when playing back off from the view log on the server Thanks
kensplace 0 Posted February 24, 2007 The avi files probably wont be 25fps (pal) or 30 fps (ntsc) they will be at whatever frame rate your cams are recording at in geo. When you playback via geo it will adjust the speed to the correct speed, windows media has no idea what speed to play them at so assumes normal frame rates and they come out to fast. I have not seen any geo settings that can change this (other than maybe recording at a higher frame rate), but would be interested if there is one as I get the same thing. Jasper 0 Posted February 24, 2007 Viewlog takes into account of the timing issue. That is the best way to play them. Like he said Media Player doesn't know the fps and will play the video too fast. Is there a reason you are not using the Viewlog player? If you record at a slower frame rate it will get better. 8-15fps if you want to play with Media Player. jeromephone 6 Posted March 1, 2007 Thanks for the replys I will check the frame recording rates. We will probably load the viewlog on this person's computer. He has a struggle with technolgy period and I was trying to make the process as simple as possible.
